Your data
Delete your data
There's no account to close. SidePlot only keeps what a game needs, and games clean up after themselves.
01
It deletes itself
Every game, with its names, plots, claims, notes and scores, is deleted automatically 30 days after it ends.
02
Clear your device
Clearing site data for play.sideplot.app, or deleting the app, removes your player ID and saved name from your phone.
03
Or ask us
Want a game gone now? Email us and we'll delete it, usually within a few days and always within 30.
What we hold
SidePlot never asks for an email, phone number or password. For each game, we store the display names people typed, the plots that were dealt, claims and notes, accusations, reveal answers and scores. Each device also gets a random, anonymous player ID so it can reconnect. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.
Asking us to delete a game
Because there are no accounts, we find your data by the game it belongs to. Email support@sideplot.app with:
- The game code (six characters, shown in the lobby and at the top of the game screen)
- The name you played under
- Roughly when you played
We may ask a question about the game to make sure it was yours. We'll delete the whole game, or just your part of it if you prefer, and reply when it's done. Backups roll over within 30 days, so the data leaves them within that window too.
Don't have the code? Send what you remember (the date, the host's name, the plot you had) and we'll do our best to find it.
Clearing your device
- In a browser: open your browser's settings, find site data or website data, and remove it for play.sideplot.app.
- In the app: deleting the app removes everything it stored on your phone.
Clearing your device only affects your phone. It doesn't change games that already happened, which still delete on schedule.
